Red Line 75W140NS GL-5 synthetic gear oil, recommended for use in manual transmissions, transaxles and differentials. Designed to provide excellent gear protection at higher temperatures and has shown temperature reductions of 10-70°F, making it especially suited to those used in motorsport events.
This oil doesn't have the friction modifiers that quieten mechanical plate type differentials, so it's not suited for use in road vehicles or those without a limited slip differential. Offers excellent gear and synchro protection with balanced slipperiness for easier shifting in cold climates.
Red Line limited slip friction additives available separately to fine tune of you diff's lock up point. Popular for historic and vintage transmissions, like Mid-1930s to early-1950s synchro equipped gearboxes in cars and trucks and helps with noisy or rough shifting in troubled A-833 Dodge/Plymouth 4-speed transmissions from 1964 to 1969.
It's also an option for noisy transmissions when mixed with 75W90NS or MT-90 to bring viscosity level up, as well as in clutch-type limited slip differentials in racing for maximum lock-up, with some users adding Limited Slip Friction Modifier in small doses to customize slippage.
Supplied in 1 Quart (0.946ml) or 1 Gallon (3785.41ml) bottles
