GPS Speed Sensor - GPS01KIT
The GPS speed sensor GPS01KIT is customer configurable to output either 8,000 or 16,000 pulses per mile, with 8,000 pulses being the recommended setting for most applications. If your speedometer has a full-scale reading of 40 mph or less, then the 16,000 pulse setting is applicable. The unit is supplied with a 1.2 meter harness.
Satellite Acquisition
Acquisition of GPS satellites is necessary for proper function. It may take up to 3 minutes from power-up for initial acquisition. Before acquisition, or when satellite view is obstructed, there will be no speed signal output.
Electrical Connections
- RED: +12V Switched Power
- BLACK: Ground
- GREEN: Select Wire
- WHITE: Speed Signal Input
Pulse Configuration
- For 8,000 pulses, connect the green wire to the black wire (ground).
- For 16,000 pulses, connect the green wire to the red wire (+12V switched power).
Note: Proper connection and configuration are essential for accurate performance.
